Ferry to Montevideo
Today you have to get up early, but it's worth it! You will be picked up early in the morning at your hotel by a driver who will take you to the harbour. After completing the formalities, you will enjoy the approx. 3-hour crossing across the Río de la Plata to Montevideo.
Montevideo City Tour
Upon arrival in Montevideo, your English-speaking tour guide will be waiting for you at the harbour and take you on an insightful exploration of the city.
You will visit the Plaza Independencia with the Solís Theatre, the Executive Tower, the Estévez Palace, the Salvo Palace and the monument to the Uruguayan hero José Gervasio Artigas. After a walk along Avenida 18 de Julio, you will reach the Palacio Legislativo (Parliament). You will also visit the Montevideo Agricultural Market, housed in a historic building and offering a wide range of local products. The José Batlle y Ordoñez Park is the next stop on the tour, from where you will visit the Centennial Stadium and the Carreta Monument; later you will continue to the Rambla de Pocitos with the iconic "Montevideo" sign.
At the end of the city tour, you will have free time to explore Montevideo on your own. Your city guide will tell you the time and place from where you will take the transfer to the harbour.
Return to Buenos Aires
After a multi-faceted day in Montevideo, you will take the ferry back to Buenos Aires for about 3 hours. At the harbour in Buenos Aires you will be picked up by a driver who will take you to your hotel.
