In the midst of a 2,000 m2 garden, stands the imposing 1888 mansion with its original preserved architecture and two annexes of contemporary, all generously disposed in a tropical garden with old fruit trees, a beautiful swimming pool, a self-service mini-bar kiosk and a steam sauna. The silence is evidenced by the constant presence of birds in deep silence, on an almost traffic-free street, although located in the middle of Santa Teresa, central and touristic region of Rio de Janeiro, close to some of the best bars and restaurants in town.
The place is often described as an oasis of peace, a stimulus to artistic creation, reflection and the exchange of ideas. thinking about that, the artists Mauricio Dias and Walter Riedweg gradually developed a place of lodging that seems to be designed for professionals and lovers of the arts, well-being and culture. There are many artists, curators, writers, producers and philosophers who stay with us.
We offer air-conditioned suites and rooms with fans and shared bathroom, all with high ceilings with large windows to the gardens, with comfortable beds for a great sleep and a fine breakfast that offers fresh fruit, freshly made cake and juices, organic products in abundance, served on a covered terrace in the garden, overlooking the pool. The accommodation also includes free and fast wi-fi in all corners, a living room and outdoor areas exclusive for guests.
Two managers alternate at the reception between 8am and 4pm daily. Together, we speak Portuguese, Spanish, English, French and German, and we are able to accompany with creativity and differentiated information the visit of professionals and tourists.
