This peaceful island is the least developed and most natural of the four inhabited islands. Once a pirate's lair, Floreana was the first inhabited island in the Galapagos and descendents of the original population still live here together with the mysterious tales and legends that surround their ancestors.
Each ocean front cabin has a private bathroom, front porch, and a shaded reading area. Kick back and enjoy the welcome drink from your deck as the sunset colours the horizon.
Floreana offers unique day hikes, and the open wilderness of the island makes it extremely easy to get up close and personal with the incredible native wildelife - giant tortoises, frigate birds, Darwin's finches, sea lions, and petrels. The island and its inhabitants have a rich history. Kayaks, snorkelling gear and stand up paddle boards are available for rent from the lodge.
